Do I need to get my pressure vessel inspected?
Pressure equipment which is determined to be hazard level A, B or C requires in-service inspection in accordance with AS3788 to ensure it is safe to operate.
I just purchased a new pressure vessel, why do I need to have it inspected before use?
AS3788 determines which pressure equipment requires a commissioning inspection prior to operation.
How often do I need to have my pressure vessels inspected?
Pressure equipment in-service inspection frequencies are determined from AS3788 Table 4.1.
What documentation do I need for my pressure vessel to ensure compliance?
Required documentation for applicable pressure equipment includes an Australian design approval letter/ number, current in-service inspection certificate/report from a competent person and state regulator plant item registration.
Why is it s important to have my pressure vessels inspected?
In-service inspection to AS3788 ensures that the pressure equipment is safe to operate together with an assessment of the equipment's condition and safety mangement system/s which ensures compliance with the WH&S regulations regarding pressure equipment.
